SURPRISE!!!...or not lol
On April 15th, my glorious tax themed birthday, my family gave me a 'surprise' dinner at Sunny Parace.

Then on Saturday our little Ivana Trump in her fur coat went for a "surprise" bday party for Aunt Grace at Nan's house.

Then that night we went for a quick visit with Uncle Ed, Aunt Liz and Kat and Kat's house for a meet and greet with Desi and to give Momma Rogers her baby shower gift! It was amazing to see MY brother Ed holding MY baby. Surreal! I cant friggin WAIT to visit the Rogers clan of 3 when Desi's cousin arrives soonnnn:)
lazy days....
Here are some recent pics of a day spent lazing around Desi's brooklyn aunts and uncles' homes.

these are the times....
when as grownup as I feel, and as proud as I am of how far I've come in getting my life together for this baby.....I sometimes wonder, why am I still a 3rd grader, who found this absolutley, gut-wrenchingly HILARIOUSSSSSS. (Needless to say she was NOT a fan of mommy for doing this!)
if you dont laugh at, or at the very least SMILE at one of these pics, you have no soul.

Some more visitors!
We had some more visitors this month! (and more pics to be added soon!!!)

arianna maggie and arielle came to visit and brought DELISH thai food! (need to get maggie/arielle pics out of camera still!)
Feliz Páscoa!
Easter is my most favorite holiday of the liturgical year, so needless to say I was ecstatic to share this day with my girl for the first time! She turned alot of heads in Church, and received many awws....Even without her fabulous hat (which after 1 attempt I gave up on, bc she was very very mad at the mere suggestion that I put it on her...so we opted for her silver let's get physical, physical headband instead!) It was a beautiful day spent praising the Lord, and of course she was a peaceful little angel throughout the whole mass!

love the grammie lady!
Then we went to Aunt Grace and Uncle Mark's house for dinner and festivities...

And the family pics outside!
And then, the holiness of the day gets replaced with WAR. aka, our annual, no guts-no glory-no holding back-get them where it hurts- every many for themselves EASTER EGG HUNT. This year we made tee shirts to go with it, to which my mom commented on my creative, albeit irreverant design "WAR and EASTER should not be in the same sentence!" She's absolutley right, and you would think I would be the first one to shun this type of shenanigan, but it is what it is, when it comes to this!

LET THE WAR BEGIN!!!!!

And to end the day, Ms. Desi posed in her awesome bib courtesy of Uncle Joao aka "Uncle Joshua", who taught mommy to properly say Happy Easter in Portugese all those years ago, which wound up being the ONLY Portugese phrase mommy ever remembers, and is SOO happy when this day comes around so she can actually appropriately use it! Feliz Páscoa! (Felijhh Pashqua!)
I'll tumble for yaa....
