Bay Ridge St. Patties!

3.28.10
So the infamous Bay Ridge St. Patties day finally arrived and the Finnen's hosted us for a pizza lunch and hang time before we went out. Big Pat got Desi the cutest bunny book for Easter! It's safe to say, they love her!

Goodbye kisses!

Then we were off to Skinflints, where my girl was a big hit, as usual!

How could you not think this is amazing.

Best Godfather!

Best Godmother!

ROOMIES 4L.

Finally we visited my good friend (and sharer of baby clothes!) Annastasia and her family. And by visited I mean I called her while walking down her block and she and hubby and awesome son (who was BFF with uncle paddy) and gorgeous baby girl graciously let us in, gave us coffee and forced me to eat cookies! :) superb way to end the day!

Easter's almost here!

3.30.10
So in preperation for her first picture with the Easter bunny, Desi got her first real bath in her awesome rainforest bathtub, courtesy of Aunt Kristen! Up until this point, I have been giving her quasi-shower baths in the bathroom sink, but today was the real deal! The funny thing is, it seems she likes the water, its the getting out part she doesn't seem to care for!

NOT HAPPY! lol

So we made it to the Freehold mall, all dolled up and ready to meet the Easter Bunny! And of course, as per usual, we had NO problems with taking the picture bc I am slowly realizing I have an AMAZING child, who I can take anywhere! I've learned that all it takes (right now anyway, I dont take for granted this can and WILL change!) is a little quiet time tucked away somewhere so's she can grab a bite to eat...and this girl is ready for anything! (just like her mother!) So, with her "let's get physical, physical" headband and pretty dress bought by nan, she hung out with the Bunny as the picture was snapped and almost fell asleep in his arms, courtesy of her food-coma, or milk-drunk as we call it.

And naturally, her Aunties and mommy also wanted to get it on the fun! Which was NO easy feat, considering this Bunny smelled like old Ricotta cheese!

a whole new world...

So Desi girl discovered and lovesss her mobile! When initially perusing the bedding aisle at babies-r-us, I adamantly declared to my mom, "I am a social worker and as such will NOT allow my daughter to be defined by social constructs!" referring to the typical pink girly crap that is usually assigned to girls. So there I was, really excited about the gender neutral safari set, when something caught my eye....as my ma puts it now, "Ive never seen you make a beeline so fast!" And at the mere sight of a ballerina bear with a tiara, I was a bowl of mashed potatoes...and my well-researched, strong convictions went out the window. My only rationale, or rather, my excuse is that I did dance for 15 years.....whatever, don't judge!

is she serious with this face???

Aunt Lauren and Aunt Mer came for a visit and Aunt Lauren took her fancy camera and snapped our professional photo shoot...and boy, did these pics come out amazing! LOVE IT and thank youX1000!

ST. Patricks Day!

Anyone that knows me, knows how much I love St. Patties day, and this year was no exception. I did not think I would be making it out to the NYC celebration due to the three week old and stuff....but we did! We manned it up and headed out to the Upper East Side where we hung out at Aunt Mo's....went to Wicker Park...and where a slightly intoxicated FDNY named Charlie fell in love with my daughter. Pretty typical St. Patties Day for me, just not as long...and again with the Bjorn in tow!

bagpiper loved her
Mike MY bartender from the wicked monk loved her!
and the infamous Charlie (who might I add, we dont know!) definitley LOVED her.

love aunt mer!

where did this lil leprauchan come from!

and god forbid she should take a nice pic with her mother lol!
